After the picnic, we headed for the trail. The whole event turned more into rock climbing than hiking. We were scaling mountains and tripping over boulders just so we could get to the waterfalls deep in the canyon. After a long 3 hour hike, we were filthy and ready to head home. Our (my) feet were killing me - of course, I had twisted my ankle on a rock and limped the last 200 yards back to the car. Even with the dirt and injuries, we had fun! We love spending family days together!
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why they call it the present.
