We spent the weekend down on the strip over the MLK Holiday. The Nowaks had a room at the Bellagio so we spent Saturday and Sunday with them acting like a bunch of tourists!

The Bellagio Conservatory was decorated for the Chinese New Year. It is the year of the Tiger so everything on display went along with that theme. The flowers were beautiful! There are several greenhouses in the back parking lot of the Bellagio where they are getting ready for the next displays.

Over the years we have seen some of the decoration duplicated but they are often very original. We like going down there over Christmas to take pictures of the girls for our yearly newsletter.

During our time down on the Strip this time, we spent a lot of time WALKING! We met the Nowaks at the Bellagio and took the tram through City Center (the architecture in the Crystals shopping area is beautiful). We got off at the Monte Carlo and walked across the street to Game Works. The kids played games for an hour or so while the 'grown ups' enjoyed a pitcher of Shock Top! :0)

When we left Game Works, we headed over to the Magic Mile shopping center at Planet Hollywood. We didn't really buy anything - just did more walking and a little bit of browsing. Tina ended up getting her eyes done at Sephoria and they only wanted a mere $54 for a compact of eye shadow! I got some of my newest favorite perfume - Be Delicious by DKNY!

After Planet Hollywood, we started walking toward the Harley Davidson Cafe. We had a huge dinner (way too much food) and stuffed ourselves. Can't say I'd recommend going back though. We walked across the street toward City Center again to catch the tram back to the Bellagio. We collapsed onto the beds in their hotel room to gather up the energy to go home. We were able to see the fountains at Bellagio through their window - it's breath taking! What a fun weekend! Now to get laundry done to start a new week. :0(
