Thanksgiving with the Nowaks

We were blessed to be invited over to the Nowaks again this year for Thanksgiving. I think there were somewhere around 23 people there to celebrate Turkey Day this year. We have been going over to the Nowaks for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas for the past 5 years or so. Since we don't have family in Las Vegas, they have graciously included us with their family each year. We took this picture as we were getting all of the food set out. In the picture with our family are John and Tara (Tina's sister) with some of the kids (Kamryn, Kyle, Adrian, Anthony, and Landry). Here's some more of the gang - John's parents (Hank and Angela), Tina's mom (Gloria), John Hart, and some of Tina's friends. We had a great time meeting everyone and spending the day with them. I'm certain that Tina was busy in the kitchen for HOURS before we arrived. We brought over a smoked turkey and some stuffed jalepenos for appetizers. Tina and her family took care of a roasted turkey, stuffing, potatoes, corn pudding, sweet potatoes, and MORE! Here's a picture of Tina with her face in the oven. Their new home has TWO ovens - we were thrilled when they moved in just thinking about how much help that second oven would be at Thanksgiving time!
Here's a picture of Ciara and her favorite guy!
After we ate dinner we went in the other room to try out skills at karaoke. It is one of Tina's MOST favorite things in the world to do. I like it fine, but can't remember the tune to most of the songs! I'm OK it I can sing along with someone - other than that, it's BAD news! Here's a picture of Serena showing us her singing skills.
Ciara and Kyle are usually up to no good - typically doing something on the computer, creating a new movie, posting it on You Tube or something. Kyle created a fan club on FaceBook that night. Oh, brother!!!
Two of the guests were people who work with Tina at Drama Kids. Reston is also one of the Blue Men in the Blue Man Group. We saw him a while back and got a picture with him after the show. It's amazing how different they look without all of that blue makeup on! Here is a picture of Reston signing his blue handprint. The kids thought it would be fun to throw marshmallows at Reston for him to catch in his mouth just like he does in the show. It was very funny to watch. The kids had a terrible aim yet he was able to catch it just about every time!
Here's a picture of our family in Las Vegas, Tina and John!
We finished the night off by playing some games. Years ago we taught them how to play Golf - a game my mom taught me to play. We also played Apples to Apples. We had a great time and are blessed to have the Nowaks as friends!
