Park City, Utah - Day 6

Today we drove about 30 miles north to the drop point of the Park City Rafting Company. We got into a raft with a family of 3 as well as the rafting guide. We floated about 6 miles down the Weber River. This was definitely a rafting trip (as opposed to white water rafting that we did last summer in Colorado). The Weber River had a few Category 2 rapids, but the main portion was Category 1 - more like a float. Our family was in the front of the raft with Ciara getting by far the wettest of all of us! She was pretty much soaked from head to toe! We had fun but would have preferred it to be more like the Arkansas River in Colorado. This particular rafting trip was also much more primitive than rafting in Colorado. The guide had to use a bucket to bail out water that had gotten into the raft! We didn't even need to help paddle - that's how calm it was!

On our way back to Park City, we stopped at the Utah Olympic Park where the 2002 Winter Olympics were held. There is a museum as well as practice slopes that were used during the Olympics. We were able to watch skiers practice on a freestyle slope and do flips and turns in the air before falling into a pool of water below.

There was a model bobsled in the museum that was available for photo ops. Well, Bill thought he would be a "Cool Bobsled Racer" and climbed right in. We took a few pictures and this cool dude gets his feet stuck in the nose on the bobsled. Real smooth!!!
