A Couple's Night Out

Last night Bill and I went to a wedding of someone from my school. We were invited to her daughter's wedding which was held out at Anthem Country Club in Henderson. The whole event was beautiful! We arrived a little after 6:00 and were taken by golf cart out onto the gold course where the wedding was being held. The ceremony was short, but it was very beautiful! We were able to sit by some friends of mine from work so that was fun.

After the ceremony we walked a short way to the club house where the reception was held. We started out with some Champagne Martinis and, WOW, were they good! Waiter walked around with serving trays with all kinds of hors d'oeuvres like endive leaves stuffed with shrimp, bruschetta, and crispy bread topped with horseradish and grilled tenderloin. (Can you tell, with us - it's all about the food!)

After the bridal couple had taken their pictures, we joined them in the reception area. The tables were decorated beautifully! We sat down to a three course meal. The first course was a romaine heart cut in half lengthwise with balsamic vinagrette drizzled on top. Mango sorbet soon arrived to 'cleanse our palette'. After that we had filet mignon, asparagus, and potatoes. It was all delicious (and of course, a few more chamagne martinis).

The DJ played some music and we danced to a few songs - haven't done that in YEARS! The night ended with a few pictures out on the balcony. It overlooked the whole city and was beautiful! Bill and I don't get out much but this was a nice time to spend together at an absolutely breath-taking place.
