Orlando, Florida: Day 2

This jet lag and time change are about to kill us! We were up so late last night that nobody was willing or able to get up at any reasonable hour. I finally got up at around 9:00. The girls and I walked around the resort to check it out. It was so dark when we arrived last night that we couldn't get a good look. The resort is next to a golf course so there are pathways all around for golf carts. There are three pools - two of them that are very kid friendly with playground stuff right in the water. One of them has a bar/grill attached to it also. There are several swings surrounding a small lake to sit and relax. We also saw paddle boats, kayaks, and other water crafted things. The trees here are beautiful and rather unusual. We have seen TONS of tiny lizards running along the sidewalks.

Bill finally got up around 12:30. We decided to take a ride up to downtown Orlando. We heard that there was a AAA office near there with discounted Universal Studio and Kennedy Space Center tickets. On our way back, we stopped at Steak and Shake for a burger and a milkshake. Yum!! Mine was half chocolate/half strawberry. When we got back to the resort, I headed down to the pool - the one that isn't as kid friendly. There weren't very many people down there and the water was awesome. The water must have been about 88 degrees!

Our resort is very close to Sea World so we just got done watching their nightly firework show. Bill and I heard them last night but couldn't see them. We discovered that you can see them perfectly from our balcony. We hope to get up at a decent hour tomorrow to head to the space center.
