Florida: Day 1

We left Vegas this morning at about 10:00 headed for Orlando by way of Atlanta. The flight was rather uneventful except for the few storms we flew through and did a little 'rockin and rollin'. As the caption of the first plane introduced himself and the co-pilot, we had a certain unnerving feeling! His last name was Catastroph - like Catastrophe!!! What? With a name like that, I would have never considered piloting as a profession.

While we were in Atlanta, we had about 35 minutes to change planes. In the process of doing this, we had to catch a tram from one end of the airport to another. Well, while an entire crowd of us were pushing to get on a tram, THE DOOR STARTED TO CLOSE! All Ciara could say was 'Uh, Mom. . . .' The door shut and Bill, Serena, and I were on the tram and it pulled away while Ciara stood there on the outside. We had a moment of panic but knew she would be fine. We rode the tram to the next stop and waited for Ciara to catch up. It was kind of funny and Ciara handled it very well! After that, Ciara and Serena were in the middle of me and Bill. We won't let that mistake happen twice!

We arrived in Orlando at about 7:30. It took a while to get our car so we didn't get to the resort until after 9:00 and WOW! Our rooms are so nice. We are staying in a three bedroom suite that is about 1700 sq. ft. and sleeps 12 - we sure wish we could have shared this with another family! We are all spread out. The girls each have their own bed and there's another complete room that will probably not get touched the whole week! It's too dark to see the rest of the resort so we will have to do some exploring tomorrow. This 3 hour time change in killing us! It's 1:30 a.m. and we are all WIDE AWAKE!
