Merry Christmas Everyone!

Merry Christmas to All! We decided to go to church at 2:00 on Christmas Eve this year so we could get a headstart on cooking our things to take over to the Nowaks. It is such a tradition to go over to their house on Thanksgiving and/or Christmas each year since we don't have family in town. They have graciously included us each year!

Our church sponsored "Operation Doughnut" again this year. Each year they give doughnuts to area businesses who stay open on Christmas Eve. It is a way to thank them for their service to our community and wish them a Merry Christmas. In the past we have delivered to a gas station. This time we were given the Marriott Hotel. Along with the two dozen Crispy Creme Doughnuts, they give us directions, address, and a card to give to the business. We headed to the direction on the map and lo and behold, it was in the middle of a neighborhood. We knew something had to be wrong so we headed back to church to get the correct address. They told us it is one of the hotels by Mountain View Hospital. Off we go again . . . searching and searching. 45 minutes later, we cannot find this hotel anywhere! We didn't know what to do. Serena suggest that we just eat the doughnuts. We tried to tell her that would be missing the point. After much searching, we just decided to give it to the first workers we saw. Right there in the hospital parking lot was a Goodwill truck. Workers were collecting donated goods right near us! Bingo!! We've found our recipient. Being there were only 2 people working the donation center, we left them a dozen doughnuts and headed home!

When we got home, we decided to take some pictures. We haven't taken pictures of our family in quite some time so this was as good a time as any!

Merry Christmas Everyone!
